WORKSHOPS, ARTIFACTS, PERFORMANCES & FOOD TASTING FROM AROUND THE WORLD



FREE! FREE! FREE! FREE! FREE!
Students must be accompanied at all times by a supervising adult


CELEBRATING OUR DIVERSE FAMILIES, CLASSMATES, TEACHERS AND NEIGHBORS


Traditional clothing is encouraged. No costumes.


International Night will begin at 6:00 p.m.

A Gallery of Artifacts will be available the entire night for you to enjoy.




Workshops will take place from 6:10-6:35 p.m. and again from 6:40-7:05 p.m.


Students may choose one for each time slot as space permits.

Workshops include:
  • Danish Paper Weaving
  • Storytellers - Instruments & Stories from around the world
  • Capoeira - Brazilian Martial Arts
  • Origami -Japanese Paper Folding
  • Congolese Dancing
  • Painting an Alebrije from Mexico
  • Middle East Experience-Henna, write your name in Arabic, try on a scarf
  • Polynesian Dancing

Ongoing until the performances at 7:15 p.m.

  • Coloring Pages from Around the World
  • Take and Bake-Make a traditional corn tortilla to take home and cook
  • Add your flower to the Community Tree
  • Visit the Gallery of Artifacts


At 7:15 p.m. families are invited to the Multipurpose room for

PERFORMANCES from around the world by Guests, Mitchell Families,
some of the workshops will prepare students to perform too!

A Parade of Nations will take place during the performance for
all of those wearing authentic clothing.




Dinner will not be served at this event, but there will be many small tastings from Around the World.
