-A school safety director was hired by AAPS to work on safe routes to school for walkers
-UM School of Music, Theater and Dance is offering a free after school music instruction program for fifth graders. Instrumental music will be taught by students from the graduate and PhD programs as well as AAPS teachers
-The new modulars are fully functional
-Treasurer's report:
-Fun Run was very successful, fall book fair also profitable
-Camp account: Still owe $ from this year's camp AND deposits for next year
-Teacher holiday lunch scheduled for Thursday, December 21
-Sodexo: serving at UM winter commencement on Sunday, December 17 from noon-4pm.
-Volunteers still needed, sign up at:

-Volunteers need to be over 18 and have a state ID or driver's license
-Fundraising
-Should we do Kleinhenn next year? Vote next meeting
-Learning Express shop to donate, shoppers get 10% off purchase and LEX donates another 10%
-Craft Fair is Friday, December 15 running through the school day until the end of movie night
-Whole day table price $20, just during movie night table price is $15
-Anyone from the Mitchell community is eligible to participate
-During the school day all items must be priced $15 and under, afterwards items can be up to $20
-Movie Night featuring Despicable Me 3 is Friday, December 15
-Motion to make movie night free admission, only charge for concessions
-Motion seconded and passed!
-Girl Scout information table will be open during movie night
-Volunteers needed, sign up at:

-Robert's Rules of Order: Should we adopt it to use during meetings?
-Vote at December meeting
-PTO meet and greets:
-promotes the social aspect of PTO, helps getting to know each other
-during Movie Night from 6:30-7 before intermission "mock tails"
-Chairperson needed for International Night!
-Discussion: how to make PTO meetings more interesting to get participation up?
-Shorter "nuts and bolts" this will be helped by instituting RROO
-"adult morning meeting"
-"inquiry for adults"
-Exhibition
-so, get teachers to do presentations, have speakers and do demonstrations
-Insurance: AAPS wants EVERY volunteer to have done a background check.
-Should background checks be done at registration?
-District says NO BOUNCE HOUSES
